Bishop Eastern Sierra Macintosh User Group

For everyone in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes, CA

The Bishop Eastern Sierra Macintosh User Group (beSMUG) was formed by committee vote on January 1, 2001 at 12:01 a.m., making it the first Macintosh User Group of the (real) new millennium. A non-profit educational organization, beSMUG's goals include helping its members become more proficient at the tasks they wish to accomplish on their computers, public internet and computer classes, and assisting teachers and students who use Macintosh technology in the classroom. The membership of beSMUG includes new users, seniors, teachers, graphic design and journalism pros, digital imagery experts, webmasters, digital audio and video experts, internet experts and technical service pros, among others. Members share hints, tips and technical how-tos at user group meetings, held the first Tuesday of each month, giving them a very valuable resource for new technology and practical use information. Membership is open to anyone interested in the Macintosh Operating System, ownership of a Macintosh computer is not required. beSMUG Special Interest Groups (SIGs) include the HTML SIG and our Graphics and Design SIG with more on the way! Come join our vibrant, active group and learn more about your Mac and the software you need to get the job done.
