OSS Chicago

For everyone in Chicago and Northwest Suburbs

The purpose of Open Source Chicago is to create open source proponents and users within traditional IT environments. Our goal is to create an environment where professionals can exchange information about the open source software, projects, and OSS licensing so that IT professionals can make informed choices about the use of OSS within their organization.

We want you to be able to:
* Exchange ideas about open source projects
* Discuss experiences with open source software
* Educate members about how to evaluate open source software
* Help members understand when and when not to consider OSS
* Inform participants about new projects
* Discuss Open Source concerns, roadblocks, etc.
